The reason I chose to read this book is because the author of this book is Louis Sachar, who wrote holes. I enjoyed holes so I thought that small steps would be as great or even better.
Small steps is a continuation from holes but from Armpit’s point of view instead of Stanley’s. Armpit has left the camp and has gone back to school and has a job but wants more money therefore he makes the wrong decision when X-Ray offered to double his money.
After this point everything get crazy Armpit gets tricked, has many fights, loses money and friends but also becomes close friends with a famous pop star. That is why I love the book.

I’m really pleased that you’ve chosen to read a book by an author that you have previously enjoyed. Have you seen the film of ‘Holes’ – which did you prefer? Why?
What will your non-fiction text be?
